Functioning :

Throughout the year, a few minutes during orientation time with a student (today's date, change of month)

Then in group, reading of the date by the student responsible, announcement of the day's events, updating of the calendar with future events (on each new page of the calendar, we note the birthdays,_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_outings, special activities) possibly counting the days remaining before a birthday or an outing.

One day time

A school day:

Take photos of the different times of the class day (reception, workshops, groupings, physical education, recreation, canteen, etc.)

Use specific vocabulary after  the creation of the frieze:

  • meal time (in the canteen or at home) = midday

  • before meals: in the morning, in the morning

  • after the meal: in the afternoon, then in the evening

After school :

What do we do in the evening after school?

_cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_let the children express themselves:

the game, the meal, the toilet, the story read, sleep...

Realization of drawings

The days of the week :

Display of days at the grouping corner - Learn the rhyme of the days of the week

The train of the days of the week (colored according to the nursery rhyme "Monday is all gray, Light yellow is...) helps to identify the sequence of days with the recitation of the days.

How many days are there in a week?

Barrons when there is no class.

Add a photo of the speaker on the day of his/her visit and the photos or drawings of the special activities of the week (computer workshop, library, etc.)

Each day, a student is responsible for making the date during reception time in the presence of the teacher

  • using the magnetic labels, he writes the date on the board

  • he colors the calendar with the color of the day (highlighting a rhythm)

  • he says the date of the day and recites the nursery rhyme to the teacher

and then say it as a group.

Evolution of rituals

  • the student writes the date on the board using erasable markers in capitals then subsequently the gesture is mastered in cursive

  • Three consecutive days: say the name of the day then that of tomorrow and that of yesterday

using the appropriate tense      _cc781905-5cde-3194-6bb3b-5badtoday we are...

  • Five consecutive days: the day before yesterday - yesterday - today - tomorrow - the day after tomorrow

  • Approach the notion of year -> know what the "small date" corresponds to expl: 04/2019

Class schedule

It comes in the form of a monthly page.

We indicate the birthdays and events of the month.

We will thus be able to count the number of days (of sleeps) which separate us from an event.

It is used during the ritual (the child comes to identify the date of the day, colors it in the color dedicated to the day of the week, learns to read it using the sequence of numbers)

The typography of the name of the day will evolve  throughout the year.

The pages are superimposed on each other. We will thus be able to notice that the February page is much shorter than the others.

It is hung at the height of pupil because they like to handle it, lift the pages, discuss among themselves.

The generations

The extended family photo (to bring from home)

How many adults are there? How many children?

What are the links between them? (parents - grandparents - children - father - mother - brothers - sisters...)

The class picture

are the children the same age? Do they have their birthday  on the same day? no, but they are part of the same generation (people who are around the same age)

Do all my family members belong to the same generation?

Let's identify children, adolescents, parents, grandparents... how do we manage to differentiate them? (age - physical appearance)

My family is made up of several generations, that of the children, that of the parents and that of the grandparents.

Dad, mom, you, me, we age at the same time as grandma, grandpa. Grandma wasn't always old.

When mom was a little girl, granny was a young mom like mom today, dad was a little boy like your classmate today.

Reflection on generations(After watching the movie JIBURO)

From images

the images are pasted on cardboard and magnetized on the back

  • Classify these characters. Who are they ? (let the children express themselves)

  • Let's rank them from the mostyoungat mostelderly. How do we tell them apart?

  • How many are thereadults? How many children?

  • What can bethe links between them?

Everyday objects

Bring old objects to class (old cooking pot,  nutcracker, can opener, non-electric iron, non-electric coffee grinder, hand-held potato masher, hand-cranked whisk... .)

Let's look at these objects - What are they for?
