"This morning, Isabelle, the teacher, started a new story. These are the adventures of Dino, a little tyrannosaur who would like to go to school. But it is not possible because the teacher does not want a dinosaur in class. So Dino is sad because he can't learn to read and write. Me, I feel sorry for Dino. If I saw him, I'd be friends with him, it would be so good at home. break !"

Prior activity:

(With large word flashcards on the chalkboard grouped together)

  • The teacher writes the sentence on the board, the pupils use the known words to read.

  • Do several reading games on this sentence. (the student comes to show the word said by the teacher or a classmate - the teacher or a classmate shows the word, the student must say it - Have the sentence read by showing each word read with finger or ruler)

  • The teacher changes the place of the words --> new reading

Each label is a word or punctuation mark

Individual activity sheet:

  • circle each word with a different color (for the more resourceful)

  • circle the words requested by the teacher in the requested color
